Low Ozone Event In Europe

November 11,2001-A low ozone event is opening up over the North Atlantic and Europe. Levels of ozone in the atmosphere will fall to 60-70% of the seasonal average as the hole deepens, according to scientists at the climate research centre, KNMI, in The Netherlands.

This low ozone event may have been caused by unusual air currents in the atmosphere and not necessarily by the chemicals which caused the Antarctic ozone hole.
